Eloisa Vargiu from CETAQUA and Fernando Lopez from FIWARE joined the “Smart Water” panel during the 10th FIWARE Global Summit. The summit, hosted in Naples, gathered experts and innovators to discuss the future of water management, and Vargiu’s presentation offered valuable insights into the WATERVERSE project.

During her session, “Water Domain Digitalization: Moving Toward Data Spaces,” Eloisa shared the experiences and preliminary results of the WATERVERSE project in Costa del Sol, Spain. The presentation, titled “How FIWARE Can Support the Management of Integral Water Cycle – an Experience in Costa de Sol,” delved into how the FIWARE technology is being harnessed to improve water management processes, enhancing both internal efficiency and stakeholder collaboration.

Eloisa’s insights focused on the digitalization of the integral water cycle, a holistic approach to water management that aims to optimize the use and distribution of water resources. She emphasized the critical role that FIWARE technology plays in enabling this process, highlighting the potential to foster sustainable, efficient, and data-driven solutions within the water sector. The audience was given a glimpse into how digital tools can transform the water domain, with a focus on data spaces and interconnected systems that support smarter decision-making and operations.
