South West Water hosted the third WATERVERSE UK Multi-Stakeholder Forum on July 18, 2025, bringing together leading experts from across the water sector. The event focused on advancing the project’s innovative Water Data Management Ecosystem (WDME), a platform designed to revolutionise how water-related data is managed across Europe.
Attendees from prominent organisations including AtkinsRéalis, Mott MacDonald, Xylem, the University of Exeter, and local authorities gathered to provide critical feedback on the WDME’s implementation. Discussions centered on translating insights from six real-world European pilot sites into actionable improvements, covering key areas such as sensor standardisation, IoT integration, data governance, and policy recommendations.
The forum highlighted the collaborative effort required to address pressing challenges like climate change and urbanisation through smarter, more interoperable data practices. The feedback gathered will directly shape the next stages of the WATERVERSE project, ensuring the WDME is robust, flexible, and ready to support the digital transformation of the water industry.
