The WATERVERSE Plenary Meeting has just concluded at the KWR Water Research Institute, and it was held from the 18th to the 20 of April 2023.

The meeting was an opportunity to update all partners about the latest project developments and gain more insights about the activities. The poster presentation of Waterverse’s case studies offered an interesting and effective way of obtaining a spherical idea about the project’s tools’ ecosystem and the links and integrations between them. Partners had the opportunity to engage with the presenters and ask questions, providing a great opportunity for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

During the last day of the meeting, participants visited the PWN site where the project hosts the pilot 1 focused on the prediction of water quality and its impact on the treatment steps. The excursion provided an introduction to the drinking water supply system. Here, part of the water is pre-treated on-site and transported to and infiltrated into the North Sea dune area. The visits was guided by forest rangers, and participants had the opportunity to see first-hand how the water is filtered and treated before it reaches the consumers.
